WABCO Announces Multi-Year, Sole-Supplier Contract With Major Commercial Vehicle Maker to Supply New Air Disc Brakes for Medium

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM--(Marketwire - June 2, 2010) - WABCO Holdings Inc. (NYSE: [ WBC ]) [[ www.wabco-auto.com ]], a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced that the company has entered into a long term agreement with a global manufacturer of commercial vehicles headquartered in Europe to supply WABCO's most advanced, new generation air disc brakes for medium duty trucks starting in 2013 for series production in Europe.

WABCO's new contract with one of the world's largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles is on a sole supplier basis for 17- and 19-inch brake applications for medium duty trucks. It substantially extends WABCO's existing agreement to supply braking technology for medium duty trucks.

WABCO's new generation of air disc brakes innovatively combines proven single piston technology in a superbly engineered light weight design, which means improved reliability and optimal performance in a compact design while increasing vehicle efficiency. Building on the track record of WABCO's industry-leading pneumatic single piston air disc brake range, the company's new generation of air disc brake products enables increased payload by helping to reduce the truck's overall weight.
