MONTREAL, QUEBEC and BRADENTON, FLORIDA--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2009) - Intertape Polymer Group Inc. ("Intertape" or the "Company") (TSX:ITP)(NYSE:ITP) has announced that Allain Boutot of Montreal, Quebec, will join Engineered Coated Products, a division of Intertape Polymer Group, as Director of Nova AutoWrapping SystemsTM as of August 24, 2009.
Allain will work with with Louis Pacaud (ECP Regional Manager) and Sandrine Chazaud (ECP Sales Coordinator) to spearhead efforts to make ECP's Nova AutoWrapping SystemTM the leading automatic wrapping system in the US and Canadian markets.
Allain brings a wide variety of industry expertise to Intertape. For nearly three years, he has been Vice-President of Sawmill Operations for Domtar Inc, responsible for their eight operations. Prior to that position, Allain had been working for over fifteen years in operations and market development in the Forest Industry. In the past year, Allain has directed the installation of four Nova AutoWrapping SystemsTM at Domtar and has experienced first hand the benefits of the system.
