POWAY, CA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2009) - Aldila, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ ALDA ]) -- Led by their number one shaft, the VooDoo®, Aldila captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Deutsche Bank Championship. Winning those counts makes it six consecutive FedEx Cup Playoff events that Aldila has won both the wood and hybrid shaft counts, according to the Darrell Survey. "The Hottest Shafts In Golf" were in such demand at the Deutsche Bank Championship that they claimed the hybrid count by more than a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading shaft manufacturer.

Aldila continues to be the leading shaft choice among the world's top players. In addition to winning the counts at the FedEx Cup Playoff events, Aldila was also the most popular shaft manufacturer for wood and hybrid shafts at all four major championships on the PGA Tour in 2009 according to the Darrell Survey. Players using Aldila shafts also won two of the four major tournaments this year.

"Knowing that the best players in golf trust Aldila as their preferred shaft of choice when competing at the highest levels is quite an honor and the ultimate demonstration of the superior performance of our shafts as well as a true testament to the hard work and dedication that goes behind each and every shaft we produce," said Michael J. Rossi, Aldila's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

On the Nationwide Tour, "The Hottest Shafts in Golf" also won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Mexico Open presented by Corona Light winning the hybrid count by nearly a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading competitor. With the continued success of winning the wood and hybrid shaft counts each week on both Tours, Aldila remains the #1 shaft on Tour.

What sets the VooDoo® apart from the others is its patent-pending S-core (stabilized core) Technology™ designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing. The VooDoo's real 'magic' is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it's 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors' attempts at cross sectional stabilization. The VooDoo® simply helps generate consistently straight and long shots -- with feel competitor shafts can't match.

Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel.
