SINGAPORE--(Marketwire - September 8, 2009) - Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic), the world leader in state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment and communication (IFEC) systems, today announced at a signing ceremony that Panasonic has chosen to sign an agreement with the SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) for Maintenance Services (MS). Panasonic is providing IFEC maintenance services for the entire Singapore Airlines fleet over 10 years.
Panasonic currently provides IFEC systems to Singapore Airlines' entire fleet. With this agreement, Panasonic's dedicated Maintenance Services (MS) team serves as a central point of communication for daily IFEC maintenance, providing real-time updates on aircraft tail performance, scheduling preventive maintenance actions and detecting any recurring issues.
