LONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 17, 2009) - Critical Outcome Technologies Inc. (COTI) (TSX VENTURE:COT) announced today that COTI has received notification from Merck KGaA (FRANKFURT:MRK) of Darmstadt, Germany that it decided to discontinue the pursuit of compounds under the pilot project announced on October 17, 2007. The project called for COTI to identify drug discovery candidates for a specific oncology cellular target of importance to Merck KGaA.
