MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 21, 2009) - ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc. ("ART") (TSX:ARA), a Canadian medical device company and a leader in optical molecular imaging products for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, announced today that current research relating to its molecular imaging products will be presented at poster sessions at the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC), being held at the Palais des congres in Montreal, Canada, from September 23 to 26, 2009. ART is also displaying its Optix®, SoftScan® and Fenestra® product offering as an exhibitor at the event (booth #301), in the Exhibit Hall of the Palais des congres.

Prior to the start of the meeting - on Tuesday, September 22 - ART will hold a ART User Forum, where Optix users from major pharmaceutical companies and research institutes will present their work, and provide a hands-on opportunity for potential clients to learn about new developments and applications available for the Optix system, as well as the capability for translational research using the SoftScan® breast imaging device. Both products are based on the proprietary time domain technology developed by ART, which allows for more accurate recovery of depth and concentration than other optical systems.
