WOODLAND HILLS, CA--(Marketwire - March 23, 2011) - Talon International, Inc. (OTCQB: [ TALN ]), a leading global supplier of zippers, apparel fasteners, trim and interlining products, announced today information related to recent changes in the quotation of its stock.

During the month of March, several hundred companies previously quoted on FINRA's OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) stopped being quoted on that system and began being quoted solely on the OTC Market Group's OTC Link™. This change was a result of a majority of broker-dealers moving away from the traditional Bulletin Board system, which proved to be more time and cost intensive, to the superior real-time electronic interdealer quotation system found with OTC Link™. According to OTC Market Group, over 95% of broker-dealer OTC priced quotes are now transacted on the OTC Link™ platform compared to less than 5% on FINRA's OTC Bulletin Board. The OTC Market Group designates their quotations in three separate tiers. Talon International, Inc. (TALN) is currently quoted in the tier known as the OTCQB. This tier is for companies that provide full disclosure and transparency and are current in all reports to the SEC (or a U.S. banking regulator).

Some financial websites have not yet updated their systems and are not displaying accurate quotes (or no quotes at all) and are mistakenly showing SEC reporting companies as trading under Pink Sheets (sometimes showing .PK on the end of their tickers) which is commonly used for companies that are not current with SEC reporting requirements. Talon International, Inc. continues to report to the SEC and is current on all of its filings.

As investors become more aware of the changes that have taken place in the OTC Bulletin Board and the popular financial websites are able to update their systems, we are confident that these updates will eliminate any short term confusion in the marketplace regarding how Talon shares are traded.
