Wabash National Corporation Announces Board of Directors Appointment

LAFAYETTE, IN--(Marketwire - March 29, 2011) - Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: [ WNC ]) announces the appointment of Mr. John E. Kunz to the Company's Board of Directors and to the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.

Mr. Kunz is the Vice President - Treasurer and Tax of Tenneco Inc., a global manufacturer of automotive emission control and ride control systems. In this role, which he has held since July 2006, Mr. Kunz oversees Tenneco's treasury and tax activities in over 30 countries, including all of its equity and debt financing transactions, and participates in the management and implementation of its strategic growth plans.

Commenting on this appointment, Dr. Martin C. The appointment of Mr. Kunz brings Wabash National Corporation's Board to seven members. With the exception of the Company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Richard J. Giromini, the directors qualify as independent directors under the listing standards of the New York Stock Exchange, Inc. and the Company's Corporate Governance Guidelines. All of the Board of Director committees continue to be comprised of only independent directors.
