McCormick and Its Employees Donating to Japanese Recovery Effort

SPARKS, Md.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--McCormick & Company, Incorporated (NYSE:MKC) is making a donation to the Japanese relief effort and conducting an employee donation program for McCormick employees who want to contribute to the humanitarian effort taking place as a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami of March 12.

"By partnering with the American Red Cross, we can get needed funds, as soon as possible, to those who have been impacted."

The corporate donation of $50,000 will be combined with donations made by employee contributions in the United States. McCormick will then match those employee contributions. There are approximately 3,200 McCormick employees at a number of manufacturing facilities and offices throughout the United States. All McCormick funds raised will be contributed through the American Red Cross of Central Maryland.
