VIENNA, Va.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--The [ National Investor Relations Institute ] (NIRI) announced that at its annual meeting today, NIRI members elected the following four new directors: John Chevalier, director, investor relations for The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG); Ruth Cotter, corporate vice president of investor relations at Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD); Jane Okun Bomba, senior vice president and chief customer process officer at IHS (NYSE: IHS); and William Walkowiak, vice president, finance & investor relations for Novatel Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVTL). NIRI board members serve four-year terms.

New Board Members

John Chevalier is director, investor relations for The Procter & Gamble Company, the global consumer packaged goods company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Chevalier joined the investor relations department in 2002, and since that time P&G has been recognized as aBest Investor Relations Program in the Consumer Sectora for seven years by Institutional Investor Magazine. In 2010, he was recognized as Institutional Investor Magazinea™s aFirst Team All-America Investor Relations Officera by both the buy-side and sell-side. Chevalier has also been recognized as P&G aCFO Circle Fellow,a the highest award within P&G Finance & Accountinga™s technical mastery recognition program. Prior to investor relations, he was finance manager of P&Ga™s baby care, feminine care and tissue & towel businesses in northeast Asia, based in Kobe, Japan. His earlier assignments with P&G included global strategic planning and financial analysis in the baby care business, finance leader for two acquisition integrations, and finance manager of two manufacturing facilities. Chevalier has served as president and program chair of the NIRI Cincinnati Tri-State chapter, and as a member of the NIRI Annual Conference Committee. He is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Finance and a minor in Decision Sciences.

Ruth Cotter is corporate vice president of investor relations at Advanced Micro Devices, an innovative technology company based in Sunnyvale, California. Cotter joined AMD in 2002 as an investor relations manager, and her responsibilities now include leading AMDa™s global relationships with Wall Street. In 2009, Cotter and her team received an honorable mention for "Most Progress in Investor Relations" from IR Magazine in their annual Excellence in IR Awards. Cotter has over 15 years of corporate investor relations experience. Prior to joining AMD, her expertise spanned several years at CRH plc, one of the worlda™s largest building materials groups listed on the Irish, London and New York stock exchanges. Following that, she spent a number of years at Trintech Group plc, co-headquartered in Ireland and the U.S. In addition, Cotter has public relations experience in the public, banking and consumer industries. Co-chairperson of the NIRI 2010 Annual Conference, Cotter also served as co-chair of NIRIa™s Semiconductor Roundtable and sat on the NIRI 2009 Annual Conference Committee. Jane Okun Bomba is senior vice president and chief customer process officer at IHS Inc., a provider of critical information and insight products and services headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. She has over 26 years of experience in investor relations, integrated communications, brand, and corporate finance, including financial planning and analysis, and accounting. Okun Bomba has held the top investor relations position at several firms and joined IHS in 2004 as senior vice president, investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to IHS, she was a partner with Genesis, Inc. and headed investor relations at Velocom, Inc., MediaOne Group, and Northwest Airlines. Okun Bomba has also held several management positions in corporate finance at both Northwest Airlines and American Airlines. She started her professional career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse. She serves on the boards of the NIRI - Rocky Mountain chapter, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, and the Denver Economic Development Corporation. William Walkowiak is vice president, finance & investor relations for Novatel Wireless, Inc., a wireless broadband access solution provider based in San Diego, California. Walkowiak has more than 35 years of financial-management and communications experience covering a broad spectrum of investor relations including large-cap, small-cap, and agency settings. His agency work includes serving as senior vice president in the investor relations practice group of Fleishman-Hillard, and as vice president at Lippert/Heilshorn & Associates. Walkowiak served as vice president of investor relations and corporate communications for EDO Corporation where he joined as the companya™s first IR professional. He also created and managed the IR function at PureTec Corporation.
