Colgate Chief Financial Officer Stephen C. Patrick Retires

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Colgate-Palmolive Company (NYSE:CL) announced today that Stephen C. Patrick, its Chief Financial Officer will be succeeded by Dennis Hickey, currently Vice President and Corporate Controller effective January 1, 2011. Mr. Patrick will assume the role of Vice Chairman until his retirement in March 2011.

Mr. Patrick joined Colgate in 1982 and has served as the Companya™s Chief Financial Officer since 1996. During his 28-year career with Colgate, he has held a variety of important financial leadership positions for key operating units in Canada, Latin America and Europe, before becoming Corporate Controller in 1990.

Mr. Hickey has been Colgatea™s Vice President and Corporate Controller since 1998. Since joining Colgate in 1977, he has held key financial positions for the Companya™s European and North American business units, the Corporate Audit unit and a variety of business strategy leadership assignments. Mr. Hickey, a CPA, is a graduate of Baruch College.
