CHARLOTTE, NC and MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - April 3, 2009) - [ Patient Care Technology Systems ] (PCTS), a subsidiary of Consulier Engineering Inc. (NASDAQ: [ CSLR ]), today announced that they are entering into an agreement with [ VIXIA ] to provide integrated workflow automation solutions to health care facilities. The companies will integrate end-user asset tracking software from PCTS with VIXIA's unique low-cost Passive RFID asset management platform, analytics engine and support services to improve workflow in hospitals nationwide. VIXIA will be providing information on its asset management technology and services in PCTS' booth (# 839) at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference in Chicago from April 5 - 8.

VIXIA deploys tracking technology, software and staffing to help hospitals improve how they distribute movable medical equipment and optimize patient and staff workflow. They deploy a low-cost passive RFID technology for tracking moveable medical equipment and real-time locating systems (RTLS) to provide movement data for patients, doctors, staff and their interactions. Using sophisticated analytics, VIXIA converts data into process changes that improve quality of care, patient safety, regulatory compliance and cost savings. VIXIA will soon offer PCTS asset tracking software as its end-user interface. VIXIA also offers specialized asset management services including process modeling, change management consulting, and outsourced asset management staffing.

PCTS is a pioneering developer of workflow visibility and automation software using a hospital's choice of real-time location data. The company's asset tracking software is part of the company's Amelior Enterprise Visibility Suite™ which comprises departmental to facility-wide software solutions and services designed to more efficiently and safely orchestrate patient care through the real-time visualization of patient flow. Hospitals can scale their implementations by the entities they wish to track (movable medical equipment, patients, staff), purpose (asset management, patient flow, infection control) and by the scope of hospital workflow (emergency department, perioperative department, outpatient services, med/surg, facility-wide).

The web-based Amelior tracking software visualizes workflow by automatically identifying the location and status of people and movable medical equipment without requiring manual updates by busy caregivers. Location information is generated by integrating with a facility's choice of real-time locating system (RTLS) including infrared, radio-frequency, ultrasonic, Wi-Fi, ZigBee and hybrid technologies. Workflow algorithms within the software interpret the meaning of location, movement and interactions between patients, staff and equipment to alert mobile caregivers to patient care milestones as they occur through patient status and department map view screens. Interfaces to any hospital information system and communication device enable the software to operate as a centralized and comprehensive workflow communication and management portal.

On Tuesday, April 7th, customer representatives of PCTS and VIXIA will participate on an RFID Special Interest Group panel discussion at the HIMSS Annual Conference in Chicago from 1pm - 2:30pm in Room W193AB at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
