Affleck collaborated with Editor Dana Glauberman while documenting his experience in Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo. He began cutting selects using Media Composer software on an HP 8710w mobile workstation and sent them to Glauberman in L.A.
"I had a great experience collaborating with Dana and her team," Affleck said. "Because the software and equipment were fast and portable, I was able to be productive on the road so by the time we got into the editing room, we had a great deal of material that was ready to use."
Affleck directed, co-produced and co-edited "Gimme Shelter," which was made for the United Nations High Commissions for Refugees and takes an inside look at the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has been released and screened at the UN and several cinemas nationwide.
