Schneider Power Inc.: Schneider Power Granted Environmental Approval for Arthur Wind Farm

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 9, 2009) - Schneider Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SNE) announced today that the Ontario Ministry of the Environment has approved an Environmental Assessment for the Company's 10 MW Arthur Wind Farm project, located in Arthur, Ontario.

The Arthur Wind Farm, part of the Arthur Wind Farm L.P. with Energy Farming Invest Inc., has secured a long-term power purchase agreement with the Ontario Power Authority.

"The timing of the approval is consistent with the construction schedule for the project, with completed installation of the turbines currently planned for the end of the year," said Thomas Schneider, President of Schneider Power Inc.
