TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2009) - Arthur Wind Farm Limited Partnership, a joint-venture between Energy Farming Invest Inc. and Schneider Power Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SNE), announced today that it will be deferring construction of the Arthur Wind Farm until the Spring of 2010.

The decision follows the recent announcement of the higher priced Advanced RESOP power contract by the Ontario Power Authority, requiring additional contractual work to be completed and respective changes relating to certain long-lead time items which necessitated the prudent delay.

The Arthur wind farm, located in the Ontario township of Wellington North, is anticipated to be one of Canada's most technologically advanced, low-impact wind power generation projects using five Enercon wind turbine generators with a total nameplate capacity of 10 Megawatts.

Schneider Power Inc. is one of Canada's premier renewable energy companies, with a large portfolio of clean electricity generation development projects and advanced exploration projects located across two continents, and large land positions on the most promising and prospective wind and solar power areas in North America.

Schneider Power is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SNE.
