The Stamford Symphony, southern Connecticuta™s only fully professional orchestra, consists of 60 musicians, all of whom are members of professional musiciansa™ unions. The Stamford Symphony musicians perform with ensembles including the orchestras of the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, and New York City Opera, the American Symphony Orchestra, the New York Pops, the Orchestra of St. Lukea™s, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
