On March 8, 2025, a man was arrested in San Antonio after he fired a gun and barricaded himself inside a home on the West Side with two children, according to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD). The incident began when officers responded to reports of gunfire around 10:30 p.m. on the 100 block of North San Gabriel. Upon arrival, they discovered that the man had fired shots into the air and then retreated into the house, refusing to come out.
