Donald Trump gets bad news from Americans about housing market

A new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York found that households expect 30-year mortgage rates to increase to a median of 7 percent a year from now.
In a recent Newsweek article, it is reported that former President Donald Trump received unfavorable feedback regarding the U.S. housing market. A poll conducted by Redfin, a real estate brokerage, revealed that 31% of Americans believe Trump would worsen the housing market if he were to win the 2024 presidential election, compared to only 21% who think he would improve it. The poll also indicated that a majority of respondents, 58%, feel that the housing market would remain unchanged under Trump's leadership. This sentiment comes amidst ongoing challenges in the housing sector, including high mortgage rates and a shortage of affordable homes, which have been significant concerns for many Americans.
