SECAUCUS, N.J., April 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Corporation of North America today announced the formation of Panasonic Healthcare Company of North America.  The newly formed company will consolidate the business operations of the former Panasonic Healthcare Group and the former Sanyo Biomedical Solutions Division.  Based in Secaucus, NJ the company will also have operations in Wood Dale, Illinois and Houston, Texas and will be led by Yoshi Yuasa.

Panasonic Healthcare Company of North America is committed to providing innovative technological solutions for healthcare and life sciences needs. Focused business efforts will include the Panasonic digital hearing instruments and CardioHealth® Station of the former Panasonic Healthcare Group, pharmacy automation technology and biomedical and other life science support products of Sanyo Biomedical Solutions Division.  The new company will support Panasonic Corporation's goal to be the No. 1 green innovation company in the electronics industry by 2018 by emphasizing energy savings and improved efficiency of healthcare operations through the use of Panasonic life science and healthcare-related products. 

Mr. Yuasa, who was concurrently Senior Vice President of Panasonic Corporation of North America's Corporate Planning & Strategic Initiatives Department, head of Panasonic Healthcare Group and Vice President, Corporate Planning, Panasonic Canada Inc., will now lead Panasonic Healthcare Company of North America as President.
