IRVINE, Calif., April 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: [ QTWW ]) announced today it will hold its 2012 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") on June 28, 2012. The record date, time and location of the Annual Meeting will be as set forth in the Company's proxy statement for the Annual Meeting.

Because the date of the Annual Meeting has changed by more than 30 days from the prior year's annual meeting date, proposals of stockholders intended to be included in our proxy materials for the Annual Meeting must be received by us no later than April 20, 2012. In addition, pursuant to the Company's bylaws, stockholders who wish to present a proposal before the Annual Meeting, but do not intend for the proposal to be included in our proxy statement, must provide written notice to the Company's Corporate Secretary no later than April 20, 2012.
