NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: [ CVGI ]) announced today that Mervin Dunn, President and Chief Executive Officer, will present at the 2011 Global Automotive Forum to be held in Chengdu, China on October 11-12.  Mr. Dunn will participate in a panel discussion addressing the issue of: Commercial Vehicles: From a Fragmented Global Structure to Consolidation?

In his 11:15 AM presentation on Tuesday, October 11, Mr. Dunn will address thechallenges facing the commercial vehicle sector in markets such as China and India, which are mostly dominated by local producers.  Topics will include pressures to improve fuel efficiency and to reduce emissions, the role of technology, the kinds of alliances that might emerge and what investment strategies major commercial vehicle producers could adopt regarding alternative fuels and new technologies.

Other panel participants will include:  Fang Hongwei, Chairman of Shanxi Auto, People's Republic of China; Huang Gang, General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, People's Republic of China; Wei Zhihai, Vice President of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corp., Ltd., General Law consultant; Bill Kozek, Vice President of PACCAR Inc., USA; and Wang Ning, General Manager of IVECO China

The 2011 Global Automotive Forum is one of the largest, international automotive forums held in China and one of the largest in the world.  The theme for this year's Forum is "From Volume Leader to Innovation Leader."  The Global Automotive Forum was initiated by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade Automotive Committee and the Chengdu Municipal Government, in cooperation with the advisory firm Smadja & Associates.

The Forum was launched with the objective of becoming the signature annual event for the automotive industry worldwide and designed to discuss the structural changes and the challenges facing the automotive sector worldwide.
