ICOP Digital, Inc.: ICOP Awarded Contract in Louisiana
LENEXA, KS--(Marketwire - August 20, 2009) - ICOP Digital, Inc. (
This award established a "cooperative purchasing plan" whereby any agency in the State of Louisiana may purchase ICOP equipment, without the burden of time and expense of the standard bid process. Agencies are able to purchase ICOP equipment using the terms provided in this contract.
The agreement states that, "The resulting contract will be extended to other law enforcement agencies in the state of Louisiana to permit their ordering of supplies at the prices and terms of the resulting contract." Statewide, there are a total of 65 Parishes and 298 City/Municipal Law Enforcement agencies.
The project was funded with Stimulus Funds. This cooperative purchasing plan will also enable agencies in Louisiana to purchase ICOP equipment that is acquired using these funds.
"We are looking forward to expanding our customer base in Louisiana. We believe this is a win/win for both ICOP and the taxpayers of Louisiana," said Laura Owen, President and Chief Operations Officer at ICOP Digital, Inc., "In today's economy, communities must work smart, and cooperative purchasing plans save communities time and money."
