One person taken to hospital following North Omaha house fire

  • One person was taken to a hospital early Wednesday in serious condition following a report of a house fire near Fontenelle Park in North Omaha.

A house fire in North Omaha resulted in one person being hospitalized early Sunday morning. The fire, which started around 3:30 a.m. near 24th and Binney streets, was reported by neighbors who heard an explosion. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house engulfed in flames. One occupant was rescued from the home and taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the extent of the damage to the property has not been detailed.
