Two firefighters injured, family displaced after house fire, MFD says

  • Tuesday evening to find their house up in flames. In the twenty minutes it took for the fire department to extinguish the blaze, two firefighters were injured; they were taken to the hospital.

A house fire in Memphis, Tennessee, resulted in two firefighters being injured and a family being displaced from their home. The incident occurred on the 3000 block of South Goodlett Street. According to the Memphis Fire Department, the fire was reported around 10:30 p.m. and escalated to a two-alarm fire. The firefighters sustained minor injuries while combating the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
