Body found inside Sydney home following fire

A body was discovered following a house fire at a residence on Edwin Street in Croydon, Sydney's inner west, with emergency services responding to the blaze around 11:30 PM on Friday. Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire, and after the fire was put out, a search of the property led to the grim discovery of the body. The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Police. The house sustained significant damage, and the incident has deeply affected the local community.
