A homeowner in Chicago was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing a 14-year-old boy, identified as Marshawn Mitchell, who was trying to enter his home following a homecoming football game at Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills on September 15. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when a group of teens, including Mitchell, were chased by another group, leading them to seek refuge at the homeowner's property. The homeowner, whose identity has not been disclosed, fired shots at the group, fatally wounding Mitchell.
