Westport Publishes Annual Shareholder Meeting Results
VANCOUVER, April 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Westport Innovations Inc. (TSX:WPT / NASDAQ: [ WPRT ]), the global leader in natural gas engines, announced today that shareholders have approved all resolutions presented at its Annual and Special Meeting held on April 12, 2012, including the election of directors of Westport for the next year; the amendment of the Corporation's articles of incorporation to allow for meetings of shareholders to be permitted in such location as the directors of the Corporation may determine; the amendment of the Corporation's Omnibus Incentive Plan; and the appointment of auditors for Westport for the next year and the authorization of the directors to fix their remuneration.
The returning board members re-elected are Warren J. Baker, John A. Beaulieu, M.A. (Jill) Bodkin, David R. Demers, Dezsö J. Horváth, Douglas R. King, Albert T. Maringer, and Gottfried (Guff) Muench.
The resolutions are all described in the Information Circular of the Company dated February 28, 2012.
