Panasonic Soho Multi-Function Printers 'Outstanding' in Wirth Consulting Shootout
SECAUCUS, NJ--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Panasonic System Networks Company of America today announced it has received Wirth Consulting's prestigious Outstanding Performance in Hands-On Testing awards for its SOHO-centric laser-class KX-MB2061 "8-in-1" office and imaging communications system and its KX-MB2030 laser-class network printer, copier, color scanner, and fax MFP.
"The KX-MB2061 really impressed us with its seamless integration of advanced office imaging with 'traditional' voice communication," Wirth evaluators reported in bestowing the award. "At $249.95 (MSRP), its overall quality makes it a great deal to begin with, but for any startup small or home office that wants to upgrade their imaging/communications hub and their phone system, it's an outright bargain."
In hands-on performance testing, the KX-MB2061 was cited for its high-speed 23.78ppm1, "super-fast 12.2 second warm-up time," robust build quality, and ability to produce "crisp black text" at font sizes as small as four points.
Noting that it has zero "limitations" in the areas of image quality, printing performance, scanning, and faxing, Wirth praised the KX-MB2061 as a "really innovative new product that brings the concept of a multifunctional office-imaging device to a new level as it centralizes network print, copy, network color scan, fax, and voice communication into a highly efficient and competent system."
The sub-$200 (MSRP) KX-MB2030 took Wirth's Best in Class honors as well as an Outstanding Performance in Hands-On Testing award. This model packs network printing, network color scanning multi-format copying with a 20-sheet ADF, Super Group 3 walk-up fax, PC fax and scan-to-email capability into a compact, eco-friendly form factor.
"What a great product!" Wirth Consulting President Terry Wirth said, citing the KX-MB2030's class-leading "design, execution and performance... if you're in the market for a gray scale laser MFP for your small or home office, this one is for you."
Acknowledging the awards, Panasonic System Networks Company of America Product Specialist Joseph Odore said: "Many business-machine analysts base their recommendations almost entirely on performance test results, but Wirth goes a significant step beyond that. Wirth filters its lab results through a screen of end-user expectations in areas like ease of installation and maintenance, software quality, network compatibility and job management.
"We are proud to accept Wirth's Outstanding Performance in Hands-On Testing awards because they validate the KX-MB2061 and KX-MB2030's success as technologically advanced, enterprise-class communications solutions scaled to meet the workload, operating environment, and budgetary realities of small to mid-sized multiple-employee offices, home-based entrepreneurs, and self-employed professionals."
