WEBSTER CITY, IA--(Marketwire - February 18, 2009) - Smoky Market Foods, Inc. (OTCBB: [ SMKY ]) announced today that it plans to install its 150 square foot, self-contained kiosks into nine high-traffic malls principally located in California that are owned by Westfield Properties. The Company has a (non-binding) letter of intent for the rollout of the kiosks, which is subject to the Company's receipt of financing in the near future. "Westfield Properties likes our concept of delivering premium quality smoked foods in a small kiosk footprint, and they are giving us center court positions in their highest traffic malls," said Edward Feintech, CEO of Smoky Market Foods, Inc.

With proceeds of interim financing recently received, the Company is also nearing completion of its flagship Smoky Market restaurant-store located in Los Gatos, CA. The 1,200 square foot in-line venue will offer full-service dining, take-out, product-only catering, and retail display merchandising of selected items from its packaged food line. "This pilot restaurant-store will be a beautiful location and will demonstrate the operational attributes of our innovative foodservice concept; it will serve as a training store for all restaurant-stores to be subsequently opened in the Northern California region," Mr. Feintech said. Subject to receipt of expected financing, the Company intends to begin an expansion of the 1,200 to 1,500 square foot restaurant-store motif in selected communities in the West Coast region.
