Man wounded as knife-wielding gang invades home

A man was injured during a home invasion in Sydney's west when a group of knife-wielding assailants broke into a house on Girra Road, Blacktown, around 1am. The 29-year-old resident was stabbed in the leg and received treatment at the scene before being transported to Westmead Hospital in stable condition. The attackers, described as a group of males, fled the scene in a vehicle, and police are currently investigating the incident, urging anyone with information to come forward.
