Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Discloses Impact of Hurricane Sandy Storm System Upon Retail Store Operations

DURANGO, CO--(Marketwire - Nov 5, 2012) - Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ RMCF ]) (the "Company"), which franchises/operates gourmet chocolate and self-serve frozen yogurt stores and manufactures an extensive line of premium chocolates and other confectionery products, today reported upon the impact of last week's historic storm that pummeled eastern and northeastern region of the United States. 

The Company announced that 16 of its 304 franchised Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory stores were directly affected by the Hurricane Sandy storm system. To date, 12 of those stores have reopened and reported little or no damage to their facilities. Stores in the State of New Jersey were the hardest hit. The store in Chester, NJ is open, while stores in Long Branch, NJ and Freehold, NJ are tentatively expected to re-open this week. The Atlantic City, NJ and Elizabeth, NJ stores will remain closed for the time being.
