LAFAYETTE, IN--(Marketwire - Nov 19, 2012) - [ Wabash National Corporation ] (NYSE: [ WNC ]) recently held a special brunch for active military and veterans among its Lafayette-based workforce. The company recognized more than 300 Wabash National associates who have served in a branch of the U.S. military and also presented a gift to the Lafayette Armory and U.S. Army Reserve Center.

He noted that Wabash National donates funding to several organizations that support American troops and military families such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Honor Flight Network.

Guest speakers at the event included Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski and Sergeant First Class Sabol from the Lafayette Armory and U.S. Army Reserve Center.

During the event, Wabash National made a contribution of $1,000 to the Lafayette Armory and U.S. Army Reserve Center, which helps military families maintain the homefront while a mother or father is deployed on active duty. For example, the organization may help with home repair such as leaky faucets or roofs, and other needs to support families and spouses whose loved ones are away.

Wabash National Vice President and U.S. Navy-Veteran Brent Yeagy led the flag-folding ceremony at the brunch to honor the red, white and blue. After the formal proceedings, attendees assembled care packages for sons, daughters and other family members related to Wabash National associates who are currently serving overseas.
