TelVue® Expands New Media Solutions, Adds CNN Veteran and Uchannel™ Founder Donna Liu to Sales & Marketing Team

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ--(Marketwire - Jan 10, 2012) - TelVue® Corporation (OTCQB: [ TEVE ]) (PINKSHEETS: [ TEVE ]), a leader in IP Television Broadcasting and Internet Video Streaming, is pleased to announce the addition to its Sales and Marketing team of UChannel™ Founder and CNN veteran Donna Liu, in the newly-created position of Director, New Media.

At TelVue, Liu will be working with media companies, communities, organizations and individual content producers to reach new viewers in the emerging multi-screen world. "Donna has a proven track record of building video communities that work," says Paul Andrews, SVP, Sales and Marketing for TelVue Corporation. "We look forward to teaming up her skills with the growing needs of our customers and partners as we develop our technology and outreach."

Liu knows TelVue well. As Director for Strategic Initiatives at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, she launched the UChannel project using TelVue's video solutions. UChannel was a consortium of universities that pioneered the use of the Internet for the global delivery of public affairs videos. It was an early example of multi-screen distribution: UChannel was selected by Slate Magazine as one of the top ten podcasts of 2005, delivered thousands of downloads of full-length academic lecture videos every day, and offered PEG stations free access to broadcast-quality lectures.

Liu developed the UChannel concept during her tenure as a Ferris Fellow at Princeton University, teaching undergraduates the intricacies of international television production. She later taught a media course in the Woodrow Wilson School, and at the request of the Humanities Council, created Princeton University's first Digital Media Bootcamp for journalism students to learn multimedia skills. Liu also founded AllPrinceton.com, a hyperlocal news site that offers community access on the Web, and serves as an educational vehicle for community-driven news.

Prior to her time at Princeton, Liu had an 18-year career in television news at CNN. She launched and managed CNN's Asia Production Center in Hong Kong, produced the network's first Asia-focused newscasts, and was in the field covering international news stories ranging from the Gulf War to the Emmy award-winning live coverage of the 1989 Tiananmen Square demonstrations.
