The contract gives Organic Alliance, an emerging provider of top-quality, Organic and Fair Trade certified foods in the global marketplace, exclusive rights to distribute all Aires De Campo organic certified products in the US marketplace beginning January 1, 2010.

"As a partner, they share our stringent quality and food-safety requirements and --like Organic Alliance-- aim to grow the Organic and Fair Trade market by providing new gourmet certified foods that will give consumers an increasing number of sustainable food options in the marketplace."

According to Christopher White, director of global supply development for Organic Alliance, the agreement helps further solidify the company's commitment to establishing a stable, year-round supply of Organic and Fair Trade products. "Aires de Campo has developed a broad network of organic growers and processing facilities in Mexico," said White. "As a partner, they share our stringent quality and food-safety requirements and --like Organic Alliance-- aim to grow the Organic and Fair Trade market by providing new gourmet certified foods that will give consumers an increasing number of sustainable food options in the marketplace."

White said the agreement was a win-win for both Organic Alliance and Aires de Campo. "They have been trying to develop their products in the US market and we have been expanding our current program to include new sustainable foods from South America. Most importantly, we share the same values, believing that high-quality organic foods are healthier for the environment, growing communities and consumers." White said that as part of the agreement, Organic Alliance will also work with Aires de Campo in Latin America to certify eligible products as Fair Trade to improve incomes in rural producing communities.

Currently Aires de Campo supplies many Mexican grocery chains as well as big box stores including Sam's Club and Wal*Mart. As exclusive distributor, all Aires de Campo product labels will display the Organic Alliance logo alongside the primary Aires de Campo brand. "Once distribution is established in the US, we look forward to expanding Aires de Campo Organic and Fair Trade certified offerings into Europe and Asia in the second half of 2010." said White.
