Energizer Helps Power the Holiday Season for Families in Need

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - December 22, 2009) - Energizer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: [ ENR ]) -- With the gift-giving season in full swing this holiday season, charitable organizations nationwide are greatly in need of donations to help families in communities across the country celebrate.

In an effort to do their part in making this season bright for families in need, St. Louis-based Energizer Battery Company is making a generous donation of batteries and toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves 62nd annual Toys for Tots toy drive.

In addition to a large battery donation, Energizer is providing Toys for Tots with more than 150,000 character toys to serve as stocking stuffers. Toys for Tots will distribute the batteries and toys to families across the country so that their children can receive holiday gifts.

"Each year, we encourage organizations to make any donation possible to help families during the holiday season. This year, we are very thankful to partner with Energizer and to have their support," said retired Marine Corps Major Bill Grein, Vice President of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
