HAYWARD, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Armanino Foods of Distinction, Inc. (Pink Sheets: AMNF) announced today that its founder and Chairman of the Board, William J. Armanino, passed away suddenly on January 24, 2009 at the age of 81. David Scatena, Vice Chairman of the Board, stated that the company will grieve the loss of its charismatic leader, who was the heart and soul of the Company. He went on to state, however, that over the past several years Mr. Armanino had put in place the management team that could carry on the business in his absence. While the board of directors and senior management assesses any operational changes made necessary by Mr. Armanino's passing, Edmond J. Pera, COO will assume the duties of interim CEO.
