  • Police are seeking tips as they continue to search for two men who were caught on video setting a Detroit house on fire by busting open a window and tossing a Molotov cocktail inside.
The Detroit Police Department is currently seeking public assistance to identify two men who were caught on camera throwing a Molotov cocktail at a house on the city's west side, resulting in a fire. The incident occurred on December 11, 2024, at a residence on the 14000 block of Penrod Street. Surveillance footage shows the suspects arriving in a dark-colored SUV, with one of them igniting and throwing the incendiary device at the home. The fire caused significant damage to the property, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Detroit Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
