Hull, IA man receives 17 years for arson and willful injury charges

The attorney's office says on Monday, Feb. 17 Gomez Badillo pleaded guilty to two counts of willful injury and one count of arson. He was then sentenced on Monday, March 3.

A man from Hull, Iowa, identified as 38-year-old Joshua Yoder, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of arson and willful injury. The incident occurred on November 15, 2023, when Yoder set fire to a home in Hull, resulting in injuries to two individuals who were inside the residence at the time. The fire caused significant damage to the property. Yoder's sentencing reflects the severity of the crime, considering the potential harm to human life and the destruction of property.
