Quantum Technologies Confirms Receipt of Unsolicited Management Buy-Out Offer for its Schneider Power Inc. Subsidiary
IRVINE, Calif., July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: [ QTWW ]) confirmed today that it has received an unsolicited, conditional offer for the purchase of all of the outstanding stock of Schneider Power Inc. from an officer of Schneider Power Inc. The Company has engaged Ardour Capital Investments, LLC to assist it with evaluating the management buy-out offer and identifying other potential opportunities and strategic alternatives for Schneider Power's renewable energy portfolio. Schneider Power Inc., a developer and owner of renewable energy wind farms based in Toronto, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
