WATERLOO, ON, May 13 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Co. Limited ("Brick" or the "Company") (TSX: BRB), Ontario's largest Canadian-owned and Canadian-based publicly held brewery, today announced that Brick and its co-defendants have reached a settlement of the legal proceeding commenced against them by certain of Brick's shareholders claiming, among other things, that the non-brokered, non-arms' length private placement financing that closed on October 31, 2008 (the "Offering") was prejudicial and unfairly disregarded them (originally announced by the Company by press release on March 24, 2009). As previously disclosed, the legal proceeding named as defendants, in addition to Brick, the insiders of Brick that participated in the Offering.
Brick and its co-defendants are receiving a release and the parties have otherwise agreed to keep the terms of the settlement confidential.
