CYBEX Teams up with NBCa?s The Biggest Loser to Fight Breast Cancer with On-Air Hot Pink Arc Challenge

MEDWAY, Mass.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Cybex International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CYBI), a leading manufacturer of premium exercise equipment, announced that it is partnering with NBCa™s The Biggest Loser in a aHot Pink Challengea to increase awareness that fitness and exercise reduce breast cancer risks and to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness efforts.

The CYBEX Hot Pink Challenge

Beginning in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and continuing until this seasona™s finale, The Biggest Loser will feature a CYBEX Hot Pink Arc Trainer on the Ranch (the showa™s on-air gym).

CYBEX will donate a dollar for every calorie the showa™s contestants burn while exercising on the Hot Pink Arc Trainer. These funds will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF). aWea™re challenging the contestants to burn a lot of calories and raise a lot of money on the Hot Pink Arc Trainer for breast cancer research and awareness,a said Joan Carter, CYBEXa™s Vice Chairman.

On aThe Biggest Losera this season, the showa™s trainers, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, will discuss the importance of exercise in fighting breast cancer and push the contestants to burn more to raise more.

The Second Annual CYBEX Pink Ribbon Run

The Hot Pink Arc Challenge will also raise awareness of CYBEXa™s Second Annual Pink Ribbon Run to support the BCRF. Fitness facilities worldwide have outfitted themselves with pink CYBEX Arc Trainers and treadmills. During October, CYBEX will donate 10 cents for every mile run on a pink treadmill and 20 cents for every mile on a pink Arc Trainer.
