A man was severely injured following an explosion and house fire in Oscoda County on Wednesday, March 5. The Oscoda County Sheriff's Office said it responded to reports of an explosion and structure fire in Comins Township at about 1:25 p.

A man in Oscoda County, Michigan, suffered severe burns after an explosion and subsequent house fire on May 1, 2023. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when the man was working on a vehicle in his garage. The explosion led to the garage catching fire, which then spread to the house. The man was airlifted to Hurley Hospital in Flint for treatment of his injuries. The cause of the explosion is under investigation, but it's believed to be accidental. The fire was contained by the Oscoda Township Fire Department, and no other injuries were reported.
