DALLAS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--The state of Nevada has awarded [ Xerox ] (NYSE: XRX) a $72 million contract to design and implement the stateas Health Insurance Exchange (HIX).

By choosing Xeroxas [ cloud-based HIX Solution Suite ], Nevada will meet the Affordable Care Act deadlines to provide an [ online portal ] for individuals and small businesses to compare and purchase health plans.

In addition to developing and operating the Web portal and online selection tool for healthcare coverage plans, Xerox will also manage a customer contact center to share information with participants about the price and quality of health services.
