Super Bantamweight Boxing Champion Teon Kennedy to Represent RYU for First World Title Fight at MGM Grand

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Jun 7, 2012) - Today, Respect Your Universe, Inc. (RYU) (OTCBB: [ RYUN ]), [ http://www.ryu.com/ ], is pleased to announce that Super Bantamweight Boxing Champion Teon Kennedy will be representing RYU for a shot at his first World Title of his career against WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Guillermo Rigondeaux. Taking place on Saturday, June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the fight will be part of the undercard to Manny Pacquiao's Welterweight title defense against Tim Bradley, which will air on Pay-Per-View.

Kennedy, who has 17-1-2 career win/loss/draw record (including seven knockouts), scored a technical knockout in 2009 against Francisco Rodriguez before stopping Alex Beccera to win the vacant NABA Super Bantamweight title in September 2010 and defeating Jorge Diaz in March 2011 to take the USBA Super Bantamweight Title. Following this, Kennedy faced two difficult outings but is prepared to use his aggressive style against Rigondeaux on June 9th.

"I feel very excited and honored to be a part of the RYU Team," said Teon Kennedy. "RYU has given me my first shot at a sponsorship and I will wear their product with pride when I fight for the WBA Super Bantamweight Title June 9th."
