Bitzio, Inc. Releases Official Movie App for Crooked Arrows & Lacrosse Fans

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - June 7, 2012) - Bitzio, Inc. ("Bitzio" or "the Company") (OTCBB:BTZO), a leader in apps, mobile media and behavioral analytics, today announced the release of the official movie app for indie blockbuster, Crooked Arrows. Recently opened in theaters, and receiving critical acclaim, the "I'm a Crooked Arrow" app is also receiving rave reviews.

Crooked Arrows, starring Superman Returns' Brandon Routh, is an uplifting, family-fun lacrosse movie currently playing in select theaters nationwide and in Canada. Created in the tradition of such classics as Mighty Ducks, Bad News Bears, Hoosiers, and Bend It Like Beckham, it is set in the fresh, contemporary worlds of Native American reservations, prep schools, and lacrosse.

The "I'm a Crooked Arrow" Movie App allows fans to use their own photo and dress it up with Crooked Arrows' (and rival team, Coventry) gear, including helmets, gloves, sticks, and more. Released under Bitzio's Pici Apps brand and based on the Company's popular PiciGallery apps, "I'm a Crooked Arrow" is a fun and engaging way for movie fans to be a player.

"This was a really fun project for Bitzio. As one of our first apps launched to engage a sports and entertainment community, we used our formula of creating a high quality app with fun features fans can use in order to feel like they are a part of the movie experience," said William Schonbrun, President and CEO of Bitzio.

"Our goal was to give fans a way to become a part of movie and lacrosse history. When we were approached by the Crooked Arrows production team about the idea of creating an official movie app, we knew right away our PiciGallery family of apps would be the way to go. With the interactivity of taking a personal photo and giving a likeness of movie characters with gear and clothing, fans can really have fun and feel like they're a player from the movie. As an independent movie, the social media virality is also a driving force in getting word out. The Crooked Arrows app is perfectly positioned to help with that effort because users can upload their photos straight to the official movie Facebook page," continued Schonbrun.

Mitchell Peck, President for Peck Entertainment commented, "This app has been a great success for our movie. Our fans have absolutely loved it -- it's really fun, easy to use, and extremely well-designed -- simple, yet elegant! Plus, and this is important to emphasize, it's been a pleasure working with Bill, and the whole team at Bitzio. They're really collaborative, professional, and super-talented. I'm grateful to our movie's gifted Director of Web and Social Media, Pat Flynn, who recommended them and made the intro. I look forward to creating a lot more cool content together with Bitzio."
