EDMONTON, Nov. 16 /CNW/ - Raydan Manufacturing Inc (TSX-V: RDN) announces the commencement of a contract to supply custom suspensions to the US Marine Corps. The first delivery is underway, filling an order that will continue over the next 12 months with a value in excess of 7 million dollars. Raydan was selected to design and supply a high articulation, high mobility tandem axle suspension for trailers for the US Marine Corps. Similar trailers are used by the United States Army and the Canadian Armed Forces.

Following 2 1/2 years of intense development and rigorous testing, the suspension fully meets the demanding needs for mobility of an independent suspension using straight axles. "This shipment represents a breakthrough to a major new market as a qualified supplier to the US Military," states Ray English, President and CEO of Raydan Manufacturing. "We've designed a suspension that will enable a trailer to keep pace with a truck equipped with an independent suspension."

Raydan Manufacturing is anticipating future orders that may include simultaneous production. In addition, the supply of associated spare parts is expected to commence in 2010.
