Man charged with 1st-degree homicide following standoff, death investigation in Hudson

A 38-year-old man named Justin A. Kopmeyer has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide following a standoff and death investigation in Hudson, Wisconsin. The incident began when Kopmeyer barricaded himself inside a home on 13th Street, leading to a standoff with law enforcement. After several hours, authorities entered the home and discovered Kopmeyer with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the body of a 37-year-old woman, who was later identified as his wife, Autumn. The criminal complaint alleges that Kopmeyer shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.
