Announced Retirement of Daniel Lafrance, Senior Vice-President, Finance & Procurement, CFO of Lantic Inc.

MONTRÉAL, CANADA--(Marketwire - March 13, 2013) - Rogers Sugar Inc. (the "Corporation") (TSX:RSI) announces today that Mr. Daniel Lafrance has elected to retire, August 3, 2013, as Senior Vice-President, Finance and Procurement, CFO for Lantic Inc. ("Lantic"), a subsidiary of the Corporation. After August 3, 2013, Dan will remain available, on an as required basis, to help with the transition.

For more than twenty years, Dan has been providing Lantic with thoroughly professional services and business acumen, participating actively and successfully in key initiatives and events such as the set-up and later winding-up of Rogers Sugar Income Fund, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal initial hearing in 1995 and renewals thereof, rationalization of Lantic Canadian Eastern operations, the operation and later sale of Refined Sugar Inc., a U.S. Lantic subsidiary, and numerous other financing mandates. Also acting as Vice-President, Procurement, Dan has made an outstanding contribution in matters of commodity and non- commodity purchasing, particularly with regards to the trading side of the business when dealing with raw sugar and energy.

For all the above and much more we would like to thank Dan for his contribution to the success of Lantic's business and wish him well in his retirement.

Rogers Sugar Inc. is also pleased to announce Dan's appointment, effective January 30, 2013, to the Board of Directors of Lantic Inc. Through Dan's appointment Lantic will continue to benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience going forward.
