Colorado Cycling Event Tops Last Year's Fundraising Total

BOULDER, Colo., Aug. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 750 riders participated in the 2^nd annual Celestial Seasonings^® B Strong Ride cycling event on Saturday, August 11^th in support of local and national cancer organizations. Held at the Boulder, Colorado headquarters of title sponsor and event host Celestial Seasonings, a brand of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ HAIN ]), the B Strong Ride raised over $330,000 for cancer-related causes – exceeding the total raised in the inaugural B Strong event in 2011 by over $60,000.

Proceeds from the 2012 Celestial Seasonings B Strong Ride support cancer-related causes in Colorado and around the country, including the George Karl Foundation, the new inpatient cancer wing at Boulder Community Hospital, and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. In 2011, the B Strong Ride's first year, the event won honors as the Lance Armstrong  Foundation's top national fundraising partnered event.
