iRobot Launches a20 in 20a STEM Education Initiative

BEDFORD, Mass.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--iRobot Corp. (NASDAQ: IRBT), a leader in delivering robotic technology-based solutions, today announced that it will launch a new campaign this fall called a20 in 20.a As part of iRobota™s 20-year anniversary in 2010, the program features a team of robot experts who will travel across the Commonwealth over a 20-week period to give hands-on demonstrations about robotic technology to K-12 students at 20 schools. The goal of the program is to help excite young students about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects through robotics and inspire them to pursue STEM-related careers.

iRobota™s a20 in 20a program is comprised of a team of two SPARK (Starter Programs for the Advancement of Robotics Knowledge) ambassadors who will travel across the state throughout the fall to deliver demonstrations and presentations on robotic technology to classrooms of students K-12.
